  15. As a side note, if you have Perl and the Camel Book, there is such a
  16. passwd replacement program in there.  It handles shadow password files,
  17. multiple dictionaries (if you have them), sysadmin-definable bad patterns,
  18. etc.  Works real nice, too.  Before installing it, cops managed to crack
  19. quite a number of passwords here -- now, cops hasn't had much luck there.
  20. It even has hooks for you to set up password expiry.
